Do you believe you can change?

Do you believe you can change?

Do you seem to struggle with the same frustration, again and again?

Do you feel that life is like a merry-go-round, but you just can’t work out how to get off?

Does your life sometimes feel like the movie “Groundhog Day”?

Do you remember the movie when Bill Murray keeps waking up, day after day, and it’s the same day happening again and again?

Over the past 5 years coaching women, what I’ve observed is that most women I’ve coached actually seem to be repeating the same struggles again and again.

I understand, because I used to do that a lot and I’m sure I still do in some areas. For example, I used to be a perfectionist, going over my work again and again to make sure I wouldn’t get criticised or laughed at. I struggled with this for years before I learned to “satisfice”. Done is better than perfect.

And the reality is that, for most of us, you don’t even realise that you’re stuck in a loop, repeating the same pattern. And it’s sometimes not until you go to a coach and your patterns are pointed out to you, that you can actually do something about it.

So the hot tip for today is, firstly to ask yourself – What are you frustrated about?

Then ask yourself – Do you believe that you can change?

The great news is that mindset research has found that we can all change, if we have the right strategies and tools to go from where we are to where we’d love to be.

So once you’ve asked yourself “Do you believe that you can change?”

Then ask yourself “So what’s your plan?”

If you are at point A, and you want to get to point B, a place with less frustrations and more joy or ease or satisfaction, you need a plan to get you there.

Over a few decades of study and working with many people, I’ve been collecting the most effective, well-researched tools from coaching and psychology, mindfulness and spiritual direction.

Today I love to offer a whole toolbox to the women I coach, taking a wholistic approach, helping then head, heart, hands and voice. And with this toolkit, you’ll be equipped to create an effective plan to address whatever is frustrating you.
